Ask the question, get the answer and the letter
Can I put someone on probation, and what happens at the end? How much notice does an employee have to give me? Ask HR answers from the BCEA, the LRA and the Code of Good Practice, names the section it relied on, and where the situation calls for a document it opens the right one, ready to draft.

Built on the product's own rules
The leave entitlements and warning periods it quotes come from the same registries the leave engine and the discipline module run on, so it cannot contradict the balance on the screen next to it.
Never sees your employees
Ask HR receives your company name and your question, and not one employee record. An assistant you could ask about somebody's disciplinary history would be sending special personal information to a model every time anyone was curious, so it cannot be asked.
Ends with the document
Ask about somebody who keeps arriving late and the answer finishes with a button that says "Draft a written warning". It opens that form. The document is usually what you were after.
General information, not legal advice
Ask HR gives general information about South African employment law and prepares documents. It does not advise on your specific case, does not cite case law, will not tell you a dismissal is automatically fair, and will never predict what the CCMA would decide. That wording sits permanently on the page rather than in a footnote, and the same rule is enforced in code across the platform: the AI template review, the in-app guides and Ask HR are all prevented from calling anything compliant.
Conversations are not stored. Each question is answered on its own, and the thread is gone when you leave the page.
